Ricardo Carvalho: Portuguese defender moves from Real Madrid to Monaco

The 35-year-old former Chelsea centre-back has put pen to paper on a one-year contract with the Ligue 2 champions.
The Portugal international joined Real from Chelsea in 2010, having won the UEFA Champions League with Porto when they beat Monaco in the 2004 final.
"I am delighted to join Monaco and participate in this new adventure. It is a new challenge for me," said Carvalho, whose deal has the option of a further year.
Monaco, who are bankrolled by Russian billionaire owner Dmitry Rybolovlev, look set to launch a strong challenge for the Ligue 1 title next season.
Porto duo Joao Moutinho and James Rodriguez arrived at the club earlier this week on five-year deals for a combined fee of around £60million.
Colombian striker Radamel Falcao also appears to be on the brink of a £50m move from Atletico Madrid and is reportedly set to undergo a medical, while Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes is also said to be close to completing a transfer.
